Host: Young Women’s Resource Center and Chrysalis Foundation
About: This event will recognize the closing of the Young Women’s Resource Center’s 40th anniversary and the start of Chrysalis’ 30th anniversary, and will focus on empowering women to leadership roles. The event will include a keynote address by Erin Vilardi, CEO and founder of the nonpartisan organization VoteRunLead, as well as remarks by Leann Jacobsen, founder of Iowa Women in Public Policy, and Marie C. Wilson, the first female Des Moines city council member, the founder and president emeritus of the Ms. Foundation, the White House Project, and creator of Take Your Daughter to Work Day. Cost to attend is $50 per person. Registration is available online.
