Deere & Co. today announced realignment of responsibilities for some members of its leadership team in response to the planned retirement of a member of senior management. Jean Gilles, senior vice president of power systems, worldwide parts services, advanced technology and engineering, and global supply management and logistics has elected to retire on Jan. 11 after a 38-year career with Deere. Among the management changes, Jim Field, president of the Construction and Forestry Division, will assume additional responsibility for the John Deere Power Systems organization. Mark von Pentz, a president of Deere’s Worldwide Agriculture and Turf Division, will assume additional responsibility for advanced technology and engineering.
