City of Des Moines officials plan to begin reopening city administration buildings to the public in the next few months as COVID-19 vaccinations increase in the state, the city announced Monday. Beginning May 3, the public will be able to meet with city staff at the administration buildings on an appointment-only basis, and the city tentatively plans to fully reopen on June 1. Face coverings and safe social distancing will continue to be required at facilities, the city said in a statement.
