Des Moines budget forums scheduled Thursday
The city of Des Moines will make two additional budget presentations during town hall forums scheduled for 11:30 a.m. and 7 p.m. Thursday. Both sessions will be held at the Central Library, downtown at 1000 Grand Ave. City officials will present a balanced budget proposal developed using input from three public forums held in October to address a projected $7.2 million budget deficit. There will be an opportunity for questions and comments at the meeting.
