Commercial permits valued at $1.97 billion issued in Des Moines area in 2022

148 wordsAll Latest News, Construction, Real Estate and DevelopmentPermits for more than 250 new commercial construction projects were issued in the Des Moines area in 2022, a review of city and county building permits shows.
The projects’ total value? Over $1.97 billion.
The two projects with the highest permit value were Microsoft Corp.’s data centers that are under construction in West Des Moines. A permit valued at $265.4 million was issued in July for a data center at 3655 S.E. Soteria Ave. In December, a permit valued at $255 million was issued for a data center at 5855 S.W. Kerry St.
