Des Moines Concours d’Elegance returns to downtown this September
For its 16th year, the Des Moines Concours d’Elegance returns to downtown Des Moines on Sept. 13. The exhibition, which runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., will feature more than 100 vintage, classic and special interest collectible automobiles and motorcycles from the 1900s through 1980s. Free and open to the public, the Concours will surround the John and Mary Pappajohn Sculpture Park. Car collectors and owners interested in participating should visit desmoinesconcours.com to complete an application. Applications are due no later than Aug. 1. Proceeds from the 2015 Des Moines Concours d’Elegance will again benefit the Children’s Cancer Connection.
