Des Moines Global Shapers, a local young professionals initiative from the World Economic Forum, is accepting applications to join the Des Moines Hub. The organization is part of a global professional network across 149 countries and offers volunteer opportunities and involvement in localized solutions within members’ own communities. Interested individuals ages 18-27 can apply online through July 16. The Des Moines Hub will hold informational sessions on July 7, at Smokey Row from 8 to 9 a.m. and Panka Peruvian Restaurant from 5 to 7 p.m.
