In addition to Des Moines, the outages affected websites for Chicago O’Hare International Airport and Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport in Atlanta, among others. Kayla Kovarna, a spokesperson for the Des Moines airport, confirmed the airport’s website, FLYDSM.com, was down this morning. A Federal Aviation Administration flight tracking website also was offline. Kovarna said the airport was open and that the outage on the website, which is housed on an off-site server, had no effect on operations. The website appeared to be back online around 10:15 a.m.
