The city is offering rebates as part of its Stormwater Best Management Practices Program. One of the options to qualify for a rebate is soil quality restoration, which can be done until the ground is frozen, the release states. The Stormwater Best Management Practices Subsidy Program is an incentive for private property owners to reduce runoff that ends up in the stormwater drainage system. As part of the program, the city will reimburse property owners 50% of the total cost of the project, up to $2,000. Soil restoration can involve aeration, seeding and compost application. More information on the program can be found here.
