A series spotlighting a diverse mix of musicians is the latest addition to the Des Moines Performing Arts’ programming schedule. For the 2015-16 season, the organization has added the Spotlight Series, which will highlight interesting and creative projects on the Civic Center stage. The Spotlight Series will kick off this fall with the following concerts: Igudesman & Joo: And Now Mozart – Oct. 27; Soweto Gospel Choir – Nov. 3; Arlo Guthrie: Alice’s Restaurant 50th Anniversary Tour – Nov. 4; and Vocalosity: The Aca-Perfect Concert Experience – Jan. 24.
