Dr. Eric A. Barp, a foot and ankle surgeon based in Des Moines, has assumed the role of the 72nd president of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, an organization with 8,000 members. Barp said he is proud to contribute to the organization’s mission as a surgical training institution. He is a board-certified foot and ankle surgeon with the Iowa Clinic and holds a podiatric medical degree from Des Moines University Podiatric Medical School. Barp has actively contributed to the field through national and international lectures and his research, which has been published in various textbooks and journals.
