The school board approved the contentious project Tuesday night after hearing both from residents who supported and opposed the stadium. The 4,000-seat stadium will serve as the home field for the Hoover, Lincoln, North and Roosevelt football teams and be used by all five high school soccer programs. The East High football team will continue to use Williams Stadium for home games.
