The Des Moines area scored well at EntreFest in Iowa City, but a Cedar Falls startup took the big prize, The Des Moines Register reported. Three of six winners of the statewide Dream Big, Grow Here came from Greater Des Moines. Each won $5,000. Emerging from 110 entries were winners AgriSync of West Des Moines, Fresh Mediterranean Express of Waukee, UpCraft Club of Des Moines, FarmTable Delivery of Harlan, K2 Medical Alerts of Muscatine and HowFactory of Cedar Falls. HowFactory, which has created a way for manufacturers to manage training materials digitally, won the $10,000 prize and the competition’s People’s Choice Award.
