Story Mob, a quarterly storytelling event presented by Des Moines Social Club and CultureAll, will take place June 28 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Des Moines Social Club, 400 Walnut St. Story Mob provides local storytellers an opportunity to share a five-minute fiction or nonfiction story, focused upon a unique story prop chosen for each event.

The prop featured at the June event will be a cassette tape. Storytellers are given a score by a panel of three judges consisting of one audience member, one celebrity judge, and one permanent judge. Storytellers must also raise mob — or general audience — support. Tickets are $5 and are available for purchase the night of the event, or online at www.midwestix.com.

All proceeds will be donated to Des Moines Social Club. Additional Story Mob events will take place on Oct. 4 and Dec. 19.
