Des Moines still a top 10 city for business
MarketWatch has ranked Des Moines as one of the 10 best cities for business in the United States. Though it was unseated from the No. 1 spot it held in 2009, due to a slightly higher unemployment rate, MarketWatch said Des Moines’ central location and its ability to attract and retain companies such as Casey’s General Stores Inc. helped it claim the No. 4 position this year behind Washington, D.C., Omaha and Boston.
