Des Moines to host 2023 youth archery nationals
The top youth archers from around the U.S. will descend upon Des Moines July 12-16 next year to compete at the Junior Olympic Archery Development Target Nationals. This event will include more than 700 archers ages 8-20. The event will be held at the James W. Cownie Soccer Park. “We are excited to be hosting some of the best archery athletes in the nation, right here in Des Moines,” said Catch Des Moines President and CEO Greg Edwards. The event includes two days of qualifications and a single day of eliminations, followed by a team competition. Scholarships are offered from colleges and universities with archery programs from around the country. Scholarships are awarded to the top finishing male and female archers.
