More than 760 area residents and their friends and families participated in this year’s Des Moines Walk to End Alzheimer’s on Saturday, raising more than $151,000 for the Alzheimer’s Association. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, participants walked as individuals and small groups on sidewalks, tracks and trails across Des Moines. Team LCS was the top fundraising team at this year’s event, raising more than $26,000. Team Arbor Springs and Team Oldham Rose are currently the second and third top teams, raising $7,370 and $4,405 respectively. The Top Walkers include Mike Moyers raising $5,150, Courtney Rose raising $4,355 and Cari Gregg raising $3,285 so far.
