Court Avenue Brewing Co. and Des Moines Area Community College are partnering to host a bottle label design contest in celebration of ciLive! 11, DMACC’s weeklong speaker series taking place March 9-13 at the DMACC West Campus. Artists have until 5 p.m. on Feb. 7 to submit designs for a bottle label reflecting “The Art of Imagination,” which is this year’s ciLive! theme. The contest has root beer and beer label categories; winning designs will be featured on custom ciLive! 11 bottles produced by Court Avenue Brewing Co. Full contest details are available online. CiLive! is free to the public and hosts national public figures to speak about science, the arts, business and technology. This year’s lineup includes cast members from the 2004 film “Napoleon Dynamite,” the Oscar-winning costume designer behind “Black Panther,” the project chief for NASA’s New Horizons probe to Pluto, and more.
