DMACC held a donation event at the Urban Campus this morning, attended by Des Moines Refugee Support volunteers Erin Bell and Alison Hoeman, and Nabi Mohammadi, a representative from the Afghan community. Mohammadi said a computer is the most valuable gift for a refugee as it will help them stay in contact with relatives in Afghanistan and connect with local employers.
