Before coming to DMACC in January, Jensen was president of Henry Ford College in Dearborn, Mich., where he led the college out of financial crisis and to a current $19 million fund balance through strong, compassionate leadership. He also created a system of shared leadership in which hundreds of employees who formerly did not have a voice now participate in the governance of that college. Jensen is now working with DMACC President Rob Denson to launch continuous process improvement initiatives in four primary areas: student advising, enrollment, collection and use of data, and workforce initiatives. The Chair Academy, based in Mesa, Ariz., is a global leadership and development organization dedicated to higher education.
