DMACC is expanding 22 pre-apprenticeship programs after seeing a rise in enrollment from Central Iowa high school students. This year, 2,350 high school students are enrolled at work-based/pre-apprenticeship programs hosted at DMACC or high school campuses, President Rob Denson said in a statement. DMACC also partners with Story County’s SCALE (Story County Active Learning Experience) program, which takes place at five county businesses. Career and technical offerings in the DMACC program include auto technology, agribusiness, bio-sciences, building trades, health occupations, engineering or welding.
