Des Moines Area Community College has named Shelli Allen as vice president of enrollment services, a new position that oversees all aspects of enrollment and student services across the college. Allen will guide student development, financial assistance, high school relations, registration and marketing and public relations departments. “We are continuing our emphasis on serving all current and prospective student populations,” said DMACC President Rob Denson. “It’s about further improving the student experience at DMACC and Shelli brings expertise, energy and an innovative perspective to this position,” Allen was recently vice president of Student Development at East Central College in Union, Mo., and earlier held a number of positions at Metropolitan Community College in Kansas City, Mo.
