Des Moines Area Community College will host three virtual town hall meetings to provide updates on its diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives and to solicit feedback. The three meetings, which are open to the public, are scheduled Oct. 26, Oct. 28 and Nov. 2. The DMACC Diversity Steering Committee has been meeting since January with the goal to develop a 5-year plan to improve diversity, equity and inclusion. Claudia Schabel, president of Schabel Solutions, is helping to guide the college through a three-step strategic plan for improving DEI. Registrations are no longer available for the Oct. 26 meeting.
