DMOS Orthopedic Centers donates $100,000 for pro soccer stadium
DMOS Orthopedic Centers announced it has partnered with the Iowa Soccer Development Foundation to support professional soccer in Iowa. Its $100,000 contribution will go toward the development of the Pro Iowa Stadium and Global Plaza in Downtown Des Moines. “We value what professional soccer will bring to the Des Moines community,” said Nick Honkamp, board president of DMOS. “The partnership will highlight positive community impact and bring a new level of access to sports opportunities for the city.” DMOS has a long tradition of supporting the soccer community as exemplified by its nearly 20 years of support to the Iowa Menace. The Iowa Soccer Development Foundation — the local nonprofit in charge of the fundraising efforts for the Pro Iowa initiative — has raised more than $20.8 million to date toward its private funding goal.
