Des Moines Orthopaedic Surgeons announced that it has purchased Engineered Per4mance, which operates three sports performance training centers in Greater Des Moines. The three locations — in Ankeny, Grimes and Huxley — will operate as Engineered Performance by DMOS, effective Sept. 1. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. “Engineered Performance by DMOS is an exceptional opportunity to become the leader in elite sports rehabilitation and performance training in Central Iowa,” said Dr. Nicholas Honkamp, board president of DMOS. “Our integrated team of physicians, physical therapists and performance specialists are here to help you achieve greatness.” Joey Glenn founded Engineered Per4mance in 2013 out of frustration with the Midwest’s limited athletic performance training opportunities. “We are honored to join the DMOS team of professionals,” Glenn said in a press release. “DMOS will allow us to elevate our current mission with full-service orthopedic sports medicine and sports performance opportunities and allows us to better serve athletes in Central Iowa.”
