DMU president receives CASE Chief Executive Leadership Award
Angela L. Walker Franklin, Ph.D., president and chief executive officer of Des Moines University Medicine and Health Sciences, was honored April 16 with the 2024 Chief Executive Leadership Award for District 6 of the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE). CASE is a global nonprofit that serves educational advancement professionals. The award recognizes an outstanding president, chancellor and headmaster for efforts in promoting and supporting education and institutional advancement, a news release said. Franklin became DMU’s 15th president and CEO in 2011 after serving as executive vice president, provost and professor of psychiatry and behavioral sciences at Meharry Medical College in Nashville.
