The Iowa Department of Transportation will hold a public information meeting from 5 to 6:30 p.m. on Feb. 5 at Easter Seals Camp Sunnyside Lodge, 401 N.E. 66th Ave., to discuss the proposed removal of a bridge over Northwest 66th Avenue on Iowa Highway 415. The bridge is 2.1 miles north of Interstate Highway 80. The project involves constructing an intersection with traffic signals, removing the existing ramps, and providing left- and right-turn lanes at the intersection. Iowa 415 would remain open to traffic. Traffic on Northwest 66th Avenue would be detoured during construction. DOT staff members will answer questions but will not make a formal presentation. Read more
