Dow, DuPont shareholders approve merger

DuPont and Dow Chemical Co. stockholders today approved the companies’ proposed $130 million merger of equals, the firms announced. The merger involves three spinoffs, with Johnston-based DuPont Pioneer serving as a major research center in an new agriculture company based in Delaware. The companies expect the merger transaction to close in the second half of 2016, if approved by regulators. See the voting results.
