The Des Moines Downtown Chamber of Commercewill hold its first Des Moines Culture Connection Crawl on Thursday, Sept. 13, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Participants can board a bus at designated locations to sample drinks, cuisine, arts and culture at three mystery locations in the downtown district.

A starting point will be announced to participants after registration. The districts to be visited will include the East Village, the Core/Riverwalk and the Western Gateway.

“Downtown Des Moines has so many unique places to visit for entertainment, dinner, events and more,” chamber President Tony Timm said in a release. “We are very excited to showcase a sampling of what we have to offer during the first Culture Connection Crawl and to offer a behind-the-scenes tour of some very exciting places.”

Supporting sponsors of the event are Nationwide Mutual Insurance Co. and Principal Financial Group Inc. Event sponsors include CenturyLink Inc., Davis Brown Law Firm, Operation Downtown, Iowa Events Center, Meredith Corp.  and Bankers Trust Co. The Business Record is the media sponsor.
