Drake to host US-China Symposium
Drake University is hosting this year’s U.S.-China Symposium. The event will take place this Thursday, Nov. 17. The free event is open to the public and will take place from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Some sessions will also be offered virtually. Experts will speak on a variety of topics surrounding China and U.S. relations. Notable speakers include former U.S. ambassadors Terry Branstad and Kenneth Quinn as well as Steve Churchill, former chief of staff at the U.S. Embassy in Beijing, and award-winning journalist John Pomfret. Participants can register for the morning session focused on academic topics, the afternoon/evening session focused on foreign relations topics, or both. Full-day registration includes a lunch voucher to be used on Drake’s campus or at Drake neighborhood restaurants.
