The College of Business and Public Administration at Drake University has received an extension of its accreditation from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business through 2027. The accreditation recognizes a “continued commitment to high academic quality, measurable student success, relevant business programs, and positive impact on society,” according to a release. An assessment by the AACSB International’s peer review team following a visit to Drake’s campus in February 2022 noted positive outcomes such as the college’s high rates of internships and job placements for students and higher than average earnings for graduates in the years immediately following their graduation, the release said. “The extension of Drake’s accreditation is reflective of the contributions of our students, alumni, supporters, staff and faculty to ensure that we can continue to excel in teaching and learning, research and outreach, and social impact,” said Alejandro Hernandez, dean of the College of Business and Public Administration. “It is also an affirmation of our belief that a CBPA education is a force for good, contributing to the global economy and to society.”
