The Downtown Farmers’ Market presented by UnityPoint Health-Des Moines will host a Drive-Through Winter Farmers’ and Makers’ Market on Nov. 21 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Principal Park parking lot located at 1 Line Drive in downtown Des Moines. Patrons can shop for an assortment of late-season produce, meat, cheese, wine, artisan foods, pies, pastries, bread, honey, jam, salsa and artisan gift items. Forty local vendors will be set up along the perimeter of the parking lot at Principal Park. Customers can either preorder items online and attend the market to pick them up, or they may shop in person from their vehicles. This alternative market layout will allow customers to connect and purchase from many of the vendors who would typically be at the indoor Winter Market. Patrons can also shop the online marketplace that includes vendors who will not be at the physical market and coordinate pickup logistics with those vendors directly.
