Des Moines International Airport is conducting surveys to measure the pulse of travelers and their comfort with traveling by air. Kayla Kovarna, communications manager for the airport, also serves as the lead for air service development, communicating regularly with airlines on routes, schedules and economic development initiatives. In an email to the Business Record, Kovarna said two surveys are currently being conducted. The first went out to business leaders of larger corporations. The second is a public survey directed at better understanding the sentiment of travelers and what would make them more comfortable flying, she said. While individual responses will be confidential, response trends will be shared with the airlines. The public survey will be open until Oct. 26, Kovarna said. The public survey can be found here.
