125 wordsAll Latest News, Arts and Culture, Innovation and EntrepreneurshipdsmHack has named the local nonprofit organizations that will benefit from over 85 developers, designers and innovators helping them at the Des Moines Charity Hackathon. This year’s event at the FFA Enrichment Center in Ankeny will help the following nine nonprofits chosen from 32 applicants:
Bidwell Riverside Center.
Brenton Arboretum.
Community Foundation of Greater Des Moines.
Des Moines Area Religious Council.
Everybody Wins! Iowa.
Grayson’s Gifts.
Harbor of Hope Recovery House.
Iowa Harm Reduction Coalition.
The Latino Political Network.
During the 48-hour hackathon, participating organizations partner with volunteers to create technology solutions for their nonprofits. Over the past four years, 40 nonprofits have been helped by more than 300 volunteers donating over $650,000 of in-kind services.
