A grand opening will be held June 9. Ground was broken in 2012. About 85 percent of the $37 million price tag was covered by the Federal Aviation Administration, with city of Dubuque and airport revenues and other grants covering the rest. The terminal was expected to cost about $40 million. It is three times bigger than the current facility.
