The Waukee Plan and Zoning Commission Tuesday approved a site plan for Dupaco, a Dubuque-based credit union. If the proposed project receives all the necessary city approvals, construction would likely begin in late fall 2021 with completion by fall 2022. The branch would be Dupaco’s second in the Des Moines area. The credit union also plans to open a branch in Grimes. “Dupaco continuously evaluates all delivery channels to remain connected and provide the most value to our members,” David Klavitter, Dupaco’s chief marketing officer, wrote in an email. A Waukee facility would be built on about 2.8 acres and would be about 12,163 square feet. The Grimes facility is expected to open in late 2021.
