DuPont Pioneer opens research center in western Canada

DuPont Pioneer announced today it has opened a new Canadian-based research facility in Lethbridge, Alberta. The facility, which represents a $35 million investment in Canadian dollars, will focus on providing growers additional, higher-value crop choices and fueling growth of the Western Canada agricultural landscape. The Lethbridge research facility will further Pioneer work to develop ultra-early maturity corn hybrids, canola hybrids and soybean varieties for the area, the Johnston-based company said in a release.
