Ekberg promoted to president and CEO of CRST International

CRST International Inc., one of the largest privately held transportation and logistics companies in the United States, announced that Dave Rusch, current president and CEO, will retire Dec. 31. In his 27 years with the company, Rusch helped to build CRST revenues from a $300 million company to a $1.7 billion company. Hugh Ekberg, current chief operating officer and group president, will become president and CEO of the Cedar Rapids-based company, effective Oct 1. Ekberg joined CRST in September 2016 as chief operating officer and group president, bringing over 25 years of strategic business leadership to the CRST family of companies. Previously he was president of Kitchen & Bath Americas for Kohler Co., and a division president and a board member at Weitz Co.
