Nearly 200 people will lose their jobs when Belmond’s largest employer closes in 2020. Members of Eaton Corp.’s management team notified 184 employees Thursday that the engine-valve manufacturing facility will close by the end of 2020.

Members of Eaton Corp.’s management team notified 184 employees Thursday that the engine-valve manufacturing facility will close by the end of 2020. The Belmond facility was unable to compete for new and replacement heavy-duty engine-valve production, the company said in a press release.
