Bill McKibben, an author and environmental activist who has written extensively about climate change, will speak at Grinnell College’s commencement exercises May 18. The event, which begins at 10 a.m. at the central campus amphitheater, will be live-streamed on Grinnell’s website. McKibben, who also has written about alternative energy and genetic engineering, authored “The End of Nature,” a book examining climate change and written for a general audience. A graduate of Harvard University, he was a staff writer at The New Yorker and is now a scholar in residence at Middlebury College in Vermont.Read more
