Marvin DeJear Jr. will serve as the operations manager for the Evelyn K. Davis Center for Working Families. DeJear will be responsible for coordinating the community-based organizations and services, working with employers to establish on-the-job training opportunities and ensuring that client needs are met as the community utilizes the center.

The center is anticipated to open late this summer and will be located at 801 University Ave. DeJear holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in business administration from Iowa State University.

The Evelyn K. Davis Center for Working Families will mitigate unemployment, assess and improve a person’s skill sets and provide educational opportunities matched with on-the-job training by delivering enhanced services and supplemental support.
