Confluence Brewery is teaming up with members of the 2015 Greater Des Moines Leadership Institute to raise funds to benefit Beacon of Life women’s shelter. An after-work event will be held on Feb. 9 at the brewery from 4-6:30 p.m. Each time attendees order a beer, Confluence will donate $1 directly to the Room for Giving, Room for Living project, selected by GDMLI members. The project goal is to help Beacon of Life renovate seven bathrooms used by facility residents. Attendees also are encouraged to purchase at least one item on Beacon of Life’s list of materials needed to complete the bathroom renovation. Unable to make it?
