FAA looks into new tower at Des Moines airport
The Federal Aviation Administration has begun what usually is a five- to 10-year process that could end with Des Moines International Airport getting a new flight control tower, or an overhaul of the current one. Airport Executive Director Kevin Foley said this is a big deal, because these projects can run $80 million to $120 million, at FAA expense. Foley could not immediately say how old the current tower is.
