‘Family economics’ unfair to female entrepreneurs, says Trump-Trudeau panel
Toronto Star: Women who want to start their own businesses are often held back by “family economics,” says the first report from a women’s group formed by U.S. President Donald Trump and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. The Canada-United States Council for Advancement of Women Entrepreneurs said that investing in women entrepreneurs is an “economic imperative” that will result in a more inclusive business environment for future generations of women. However, they continue to face many barriers in the business world, including “a different cost-benefit equation when it comes to balancing entrepreneurship and unpaid care,” says the 20-page document that was delivered to Trump’s and Trudeau’s offices.
