Fareway Stores Inc. has completed its launch of online shopping and curbside pickup at its 126 Fareway Meat & Grocery and Fareway Meat Market stores in a five-state region. According to a news release, Fareway customers can use the online platform to order their groceries, which are then collected by Fareway staff and delivered to their vehicle using their carry-out service. Newly planned stores will provide this service when they open, company officials said in the release. The buy online, curbside pick-up service launched at the flagship Fareway store in Boone in January. The service is free with a minimum $30 purchase. Orders can be changed up to 30 minutes before pick-up and can be ready as quickly as three hours after the order is placed.
