After heavy rains canceled afternoon showcases at the 2018 Farm Progress Show on Tuesday, organizers and exhibitors have sprung back into business on the grounds outside of Boone, with a few last-minute changes. Field demonstrations at the show are canceled for today, and organizers will monitor field conditions for Thursday. On Facebook, organizers urged visitors to take their time arriving at the showcase, and recommended arriving in a four-wheel-drive vehicle because of parking conditions. U.S. Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue is still expected to visit from noon to 1 p.m. at the Farm Progress Hospitality Tent.
