Farmers’ Market returns to downtown tomorrow
The Downtown Farmers’ Market in Des Moines opens its season tommorrow, featuring more than 280 vendors from the community selling everything from food to local art and crafts.
The market, located in the Court District, spans nine blocks and operates from 7 a.m. to noon, every Saturday until Oct. 2.
Last year’s opening day attracted a crowd of more than 40,000 people, according to a press release. Along with vendors, Meals from the Market will also be open. Meals from the Market collects fresh food donations for local food pantries.
