FCC Emergency Broadband Program for Pell Grant recipients to launch May 12
Registration for the Federal Communications Commission Emergency Broadband Program opens May 12. The program will allow eligible households, including households with a Pell Grant recipient or that have experienced a significant income loss since February 2020, to receive subsidized broadband service. Recipients may receive up to a $50 monthly discount on broadband service, up to a $75 monthly discount on service if the household is on qualifying Tribal lands, and a one-time discount of up to $100 for a laptop, tablet or desktop computer.
