Fed Chair Powell says central bank will keep economic expansion going
New York Times: Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell said today that the Fed remains committed to keeping the United States economic expansion going, a signal that the Fed is likely to cut interest rates again at its coming meeting. “The Fed has, through the course of the year, seen fit to lower the interest rate path,” Powell said, adding “that’s one of the reasons that the outlook is still a favorable one.”
