The U.S. Office of Inspector General is investigating insurance companies that contract with several states across the country to oversee Medicaid-managed programs, including Iowa’s, reports the Cedar Rapids Gazette. Gov. Kim Reynolds’ office and the Iowa Department of Human Services both said they welcomed the review on Wednesday. “We’re working really hard every day to make sure that we’re doing everything we can to protect some of our most vulnerable Iowans,” Reynolds said. “So I have no problem with them looking into that and seeing if there is anything that has to be done differently.”
